On 14th of April, 2019, RMCC conducted a Career workshop and Career Guidance Program for the students of ‘The Shri. Solgam Laevua Patidar Pragati Mandal Trust and Sheshnik Sahayak Samiti’.
A career guidance seminar was conducted where the RMCC team of Psychologists explained the need to make an informed career decision and the different parameters that play a role in it, which are Aptitude, Interest and Personality. Counselors informed students how Career planning is imperative to pursue a successful Career and the various stages of Career planning. Information about different streams, courses and career options were also provided to the students.
Information regarding overseas education and various programs were given by the Counselor. Details regarding the eligibility criteria, the admission process and the financial structure were provided to the students and their parents. Parents were informed that the counselor will assist with an individualized plan for the student to pursue education abroad.
RMCC administered computer-based Scientific Psychometric Assessment with the students to maps the following facets: Aptitude, Interest, and Personality, Learning style and Career interest and Motivators.
In the week following the assessment, individual counselling sessions were held for each student, and overseas counselling was provided to students. They were able to get a better understanding about their strengths, limitations, the career option suitable for them and how to pursue it. The students and their parents were greatly helped by the process as they got clarity about the career path, and any other concerns that required attention came to light.
The Career Assessment and Career guidance ended on a successful note.
