Webinar: Career Guidance (DSV School, Thane, CBSE – 9th and 10th) – 15th August
Webinar Brief:
RMCC conducted a career guidance webinar for DSV School, Thane on 15th August, 2020 for students in the 9th and 10th grade. Over 50 students attended the webinar conducted online owing to the pandemic. The objective of the session was to help students in making the right career choices and understand the importance of early planning.
The facilitator discussed various myths about career counseling and asked students to give their inputs on the same. The students were correctly able to differentiate between the myths and the facts. The facilitator also gave additional information to help them understand career counseling better. The importance of planning early to help children choose the right streams, courses and careers and the importance of career assessments was discussed. There was also a video shown to all the students to help them understand the importance of choosing the right career path by taking into account their personality, aptitude and areas of interest. The different subject combinations under various boards were discussed with the students. Different options available under the three streams – Science, Commerce and Humanities were also discussed with the students. The students were then encouraged to ask their questions and reach out individually later too if they had any doubts. The session was very interactive and successful.
