GSCC – SYBCom Career Insights Workshop
On 13th January, Ghanshyamdas Saraf College of Commerce (GSCC) partnered with RMCC’s Career Centre to conduct a highly impactful Career Insights Workshop for SYBCom students across all divisions. The workshop successfully engaged over 500 students, reflecting the growing awareness among students about the importance of career planning and self-development.
The sessions were facilitated by experienced counselors from RMCC, who focused on helping students build clarity around their future goals. Rather than prescribing a fixed path, the workshop encouraged students to reflect on their strengths, interests, and long-term aspirations. Students were motivated to ask deeper questions about what they truly want from their careers and how they can start preparing today.
The workshop emphasized the importance of self-awareness, decision-making, and personal growth. Students were introduced to key skills that support success in both higher education and the workplace, including leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and time management. They were also encouraged to explore opportunities through internships, skill development, and mentorship.
The workshop also introduced students to emerging postgraduate and professional pathways after B.Com, helping them understand how the world of higher education and career options is evolving. Students were guided on how to explore these opportunities through focused skill-building, internships, and informed decision-making. For those considering study abroad, the session outlined the overall pathway, including pre-preparation for proficiency tests, application timelines, scholarships, and post-study work opportunities.
