Ramdhar Maheshwari Career Counseling Centre (RMCC) has organized a seminar for the students of Mainadevi Bajaj International School on 24th October 2016 at Malad (W). The seminar conducted by representative of University of Victoria (UVIC), was initiated by the Study Abroad team at RMCC to guide the Undergraduate and Graduate Program students for international studies.
Highlights of the program:-
Seminar started with an introduction to UVIC, campus facilities, various programs, procedures for application process, tests, internships, admission criteria and living accommodation. There were discussions about various exchange programs. They have many global partnerships for exchange program. UVIC has also partnered with research institutes for students to gain research experience abroad. The undergraduate and graduate students get a chance to enhance their learnings through exchange programs with UVIC’s partner universities.
The university offers Programs in various fields such as Science (All program), Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Social science (All Programs), Law, Human and Social development, Fine Arts (Theatre, Visual Art, Music and Computer Science).
They mould the student not only academically but also professionally. They have a criterion where in it is compulsory for the student to do a Co-op Program popularly known as internships. The student needs to work for 4 months compulsorily where they gain a 16 month work experience. The student gains not only academic knowledge but also is well prepared to face the industry.
The representative from University Of Victoria helped students to understand the scholarship programs as a lot of students were interested to know the same. The students raised various questions in regards with the admission requirements so as to what minimum points would they require, hostel accommodations, campus services, various documentations required and so on.
